Are you certified or lay trained?

  • My family and I are trained and certified with BEST Encapsulation.

  • We are also trained and certified with Bloodborne Pathogens.

  • We are tested every 6 months for bloodborne diseases.

  • Our standards of care for food preparation follow OSHA.

  • We are in full PPE down to the eye wear and mask.

Do you offer steamed or raw method?

  • We believe only the steamed method is food safe. Your placenta will be cooked to above 165 degrees and then dehydrated for more than 16 hours at 160 degrees before being ground into a powder and the capsules filled. We do not recommend the raw method (including for your tincture) and our certifying body does not allow it.

Are you insured?

  • Yes we carry insurance through CM&F Group.

How many pills will I get?

The number of capsules you receive from placenta encapsulation typically ranges between 75-225, depending on the size of the placenta which is highly correlated to the size of the baby. Fun fact: I can usually guess the weight of your baby based on the # of capsules I make. I use a medium size 0 capsule and this can be adjusted if you need an even smaller pill.

Do you off vegan and/or gluten free?

Yes! We off both vegan and gluten free capsules.

How should I prepare my placenta for encapsulation?

You will receive a full checklist with instructions including cooler size, how to communicate with us, and proper storage.

What is your turn around time?

  • You will receive your pills within 3-4 days.

Is pick up and delivery included?

Pickup and delivery are free with most Atrium and Novant hospitals and within the 485 loop. If you live outside of the 485 loop we charge a $30 courier fee each way. We encourage a family member to come pick them up for you at our convenient center city location in Plaza Midwood.
