Britany Haney -Jones, CHD

Hi! I’m Britany. I’m a wife, mother of 2 amazing children and fur-mom to a Black Russian Terrier. I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska and also spent a huge part of my life in Greenville, South Carolina. My family and I have been in Charlotte since 2021and we absolutely love it here! I’m a 90’s baby but known amongst all as an old soul. I love music (huge vinyl collector), literature, the arts, anything Peanuts; specifically Snoopy & The Twilight Zone! I also enjoy spending time in nature and frequent the Blueridge and Appalachian Mountains. Growing up being surrounded by birthing women and family in the medical field; a natural connection, curiosity and reverence for birth foundationally is where evolving into a Doula began for me. I originally started the path to pursue obstetrics beforehaving my own birth experience which changed my perception, personal birth philosophies and professional/careeraspirations. I have a deep respect for all care philosophies from holistic to standard medical and continue to pursue educationopportunities as the birthing & medical world continue to evolve. I’ve personally had two vastly different births that have beentwo of my greatest learning experiences throughout my journey. My first pregnancy in 2010, I was a young college sophomore.By the time I was 28 weeks pregnant I developed preeclampsia and underwent an emergency caesarean. At that time I had nofamily or friends present for support or advocacy, the experience overall was pretty traumatic for me. Fast forward to a decadelater, during the height of the 2020 pandemic I was pregnant with my second child. I was able to navigate through the obstetricenvironment with knowledge, confidence, and support. Coupling my previous experience with the birth of my first child and theknowledge that I’d gained regarding birth, it was paramount that I did everything I could to ensure that I had the ideal birthingexperience. This inspired me to hire a doula of my own. Having the advocacy, support, and genuine love from my doula was andcontinues to be life changing. With my doula as an integral part of my support team, I was able to achieve the birth of mydreams. I had the most beautiful, unmedicated natural birth all while in the hospital setting. Supporting birthing women during their sacred time of pregnancy and childbirth is not only my passion but expertise. I’mhonored and dedicated to cultivating community through assisting mothers bring forth new life. We connect, learn, grow &have a good time doing so. As serious as preparing for birth is I make sure that my clients also smile, laugh and enjoy our timetogether. I’m extremely proud of the solid bond that I build with my clients. Providing an experience that is felt and seen asbeyond transactional is paramount. Personality wise I consider myself nurturing, both reserved and lively, assertive and calm.I’m the pillar of support to Empower, Educate and Advocate for you. I look forward to providing you with the highest formquality care, a safe space to simply be you, helping you make informed decisions, empowering you to use to your voice and trustyour natural intuition, educating you on how to maintain bodily autonomy and sovereignty. Above all I do everything within mycontrol to provide a safe, satisfying birth experience. I look forward to serving you!
